     Shenene

She-ne-ne is a 21 month F/S Calico.  She-ne-ne is what we affectionately refer to as a special needs case. She is a sweet cat that does well around dogs (and we think kids but are not sure). She is FIV positive so she needs to be the only cat in the family. She also has reoccurring Urinary Tract Infection problems and is on a special diet that she needs to stay on for it.

She-ne-ne can be seen at Jones Creek Animal Hospital (225) 753-0527 at 5525 Jones Creek Rd Baton Rouge, LA .

Keyser

Meet Keyser. He is a sweet black domestic short hair.
Poor Keyser thinks he will never get a home, because he is a black cat and they are the last to be adopted. He is very sweet. He's neutered, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative, and was born about 4/07.
Won't you prove Keyser wrong and show him that there is a home out there to love him?
If you are interested in him please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park forest animal hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.
Do Not contact CAAWS about him as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling his adoption.

Vinnie
I'm Vinnie, a male black domestic short hair who was born approximately 6/06.
I am up to date on shots, neutered and FIV/FeLV negative.
I know that there are a lot of solid black cats out there, but what makes me special is that I'm very, very sweet and of course, more handsome than the rest of them.
If you are interested in Vinnie, please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park Forest Animal Hospital at (225) 275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE. Do not contact CAAWS about him as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling his adoption.

Baxter

Hi, my name is Baxter.  I am a handsome Siamese mix, had my shots, been neutered and de-clawed!

My first family gave me to a really nice lady with 7 other creatures like me - sweethearts in need of a home.  However, I really do not get along with any of them.

Having been an only kid for 20 months, I find I do not tolerate other kitties very well.  Probably wouldn't care too much for dogs or other creatures, including children, either!

My new mom thinks I am a sweetheart and will make a wonderful friend and companion for a quiet family.  I have been trying to show her that her faith in me is well founded.  I let her stroke me, especially my nose and my back. I have even sat in her lap and let her brush me and purred for her.  She is really happy with my progress.

Though I am not much of a lap cat, I sure love to be near you, lounging on the floor, the bed, checking out what you are doing on the desk.  I can entertain myself, but sometimes like it when we play with one of my wand toys.  When I know my new mom is around and I am in my room, I will cry for her to come let me out and visit with me.  I can't wait to be able to roam around the house again.  Mom only lets me out in the back since I cannot get along with those intruders!

As much as mom wants to keep me, she knows I will be so much happier in a one-king-only home! Please give my new mom a call if you think you have the right home for me. She really loves me and wants me to be happy and knows I will make someone happy too.

Q

Hey, Q here. Pretty cool name huh and real easy to spell.

I was caught in a feral cat trap and imagine the vet's surprise when he went to neuter me to find out I wasn't feral. So since I wasn't feral the vet clinic kept me and decided to find me a home.

I am a super sweet boy who was born about 12/07. I am up to date on shots, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, get along great with other cats and dogs.

If you are interested in him please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park forest animal hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.

Do Not contact CAAWS about him as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling his adoption.

Marie

My name is Marie.  I look like I may be an female Abyssinian mix.

I have been spayed, am up to date on shots, tested FIV/FeLV negative and was born about 10/07.

I have a very regal look.  I thought I had a forever family, but then they carelessly threw me out along with Marie, my mom, and Toulouse, my brother. How someone could throw out a cat as beautiful and sweet as me is anyone's guess.

I am now looking for a family that will love me and take care of me FOREVER.  My mom and brother and I love each other very much so if you wanted to adopt two us or all three of us that would be great.  We understand there's a very real chance that we will not be adopted together and that's O.K. we just want a human family to call our own.

If you are interested in Marie please contact the vet clinic where she is staying, Park Forest Animal Hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.

Do Not contact CAAWS about her as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling her adoption.

 Mr. Perkins

Hello my potential future home.  Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I am a black and white domestic short hair.  I was born about May 8,2008.  I'm neutered, up to date on shots and FIV/FeLV negative. I was rescued from in front of a restaurant on Perkins road, that's how I got my name.  When I was first rescued I had lots of fleas, much to my dismay I was given a bath to get rid of my fleas.  I also had several scratches on me, which the vet thinks may have come from me being tossed out of a car window, I don't understand why someone wouldn't want someone as sweet as me.

I'm currently in a foster home with other cats, dogs, and children.

If you are interested in Mr. Perkins please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park Forest Animal Hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.

Do Not contact CAAWS about him as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling his adoption.

Stella

Stella is a female Calico who was born approximately 1/07.

She is up to date on shots, spayed and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and declawed.

Stella is very much a lap kitty and loves to be with people. She is good with other cats, kids and dogs.

Since cats with this many good traits are hard to come by, I would get to the phone IMMEDIATELY. If you wait too long, she may be gone.
If you are interested in Stella, please contact the vet clinic where she is staying, Park Forest Animal Hospital at (225) 275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.
Do not contact CAAWS about her as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling her adoption.

Toullouse

My name is Toullouse.

I am a male white and brown tabby who is up to date on shots, neutered and FIV/FeLV negative.

I was born approximately 10/07 so haven't even made a year yet. Would you like to throw me my first birthday party?

I am a very playful kitty. I thought I had my forever family, but then they carelessly threw me out along with Duchess, my mom, and Marie, my sister. I am now looking for a family that will love me and take care of me FOREVER.

My mom and sister( and I love each other very much, so if you wanted to adopt two of us or all three of us that would be great. We understand there's a chance that we will not be adopted together, and that's ok. We just want a human family to call our own.

If you are interested in Toullouse, please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park Forest Animal Hospital at (225) 275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.

Whitey

Hi, My name is Whitey.

Bet you're wondering how I got that name. Well when I was a youngster I had one white whisker. The whisker fell out, but the name stuck.

What'd I'd really like to get stuck with is my very own forever home, think you could fill the bill?

I am neutered, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative, was born about 9/06. I get along great with other cats and dogs.

If you are interested in Whitey please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park forest animal hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.

Hello, my name is Frannie.  My brother Alvin and I were born in early March near the parking lot of a local supermarket, and have been with our foster mom since mid-May.  We were a little shy at first, but then our foster mom offered us Shy Kitty Magic Potion, also called chicken baby food, and it really did work like magic!

Alvin

I will climb into your lap because I love to cuddle; you can tell because I purr nonstop!  You can roll me over onto my back and scratch my chubby belly, and I will just close my eyes, stretch my legs, and PURR!  I loved wrestling with my brother Leroy, but when his new family came to pick him up, they didn't take me too, so I'm a little sad.  I would love a forever home where my sister Frannie could go with me, but if that's not possible, I'd be happy any place I can get plenty of cuddling, and toys to chase!

Many of our cats may be seen at PetSmart on Airline Highway (corner Florida) every Saturday, 11-3 PM.

Special appointments may be set up to see the cats that don't come to Adoption Day at PetSmart. Call (225) 752-5801 or email.

To learn more about me or schedule a visit, email: caawsmail@yahoo.com

Frannie

I am a playful girl and love to climb my cat tower, and play hide-and-seek with my littermates.  I'm not quite as outgoing as my brother Alvin, but (and this is a secret, so don't tell) I can be won over with tasty food treats.  I love to be petted, and my foster mom says my personality has blossomed over the last month.  My favorite toys are the feather duster toy, catnip mouse on a string, and Mardi Gras beads; with those, I will entertain myself (and you) for as long as you care to play.  I'd prefer a quiet home without small children, and a person who will patiently love me and give me time to establish that unique bond that forms when a rescued kitty finds their special person.

Alvin and Frannie plan to be at PetSmart on Saturdays

Henrietta (Frannie and Alvin's sister)

"Hi, I'm Henrietta, Frannie and Alvin's sister.  I was spayed last week and now I'm ready to come to adoption day too!  My foster mom will write more soon, about what a wonderful kitty I am."

Public  Dogs for Adoption

Uri
Uri is an approximately 3 yr. old male Black lab/Spitz mix.
He has been neutered and received a 3 year Rabies shot early this year.
He is the most loving dog one could hope to find, often hopping up to give a hug or placing one paw on you for reassurance of his affections.  He has the energy of a Lab so is in need of either a family with room to run or an adoptive parent who is in need of a jogging partner.
He is in excellent health and is ready to find a forever home!
